It is with much sadness that I have to announce that our good friend, musician Steve Thorpe passed away this week. Steve was a great blues guitarist and a pioneer on the square neck Dobro.

The Skyla Burrell Band to be featured in new CTV/CBS Drama “The Bridge” The Bridge is an upcoming Canadian Police drama commissioned by CTV and CBS, slated to premiere on CBS in the middle of the 2010 season. The Skyla Burrell band is featured in the first season soundtrack, with 5 songs.
Ben Prestage will be headed Overseas to perform his 2nd European Tour beginning on March 8 and will be back April 9, ready & primed to perform the North American Event from JUNE through JULY, AUGUST & beyond!
Eddie Kirkland will be touring at large this year & will be available on selected dates with Delta Highway and other Blues Boy Talent Roaster Artists as well as a solo performer IN 2010!
Newly added to the Roster: VICTOR WAINWRIGHT & THE WILDROOTS BAND will be on Tour supporting their new release: ‘Beale Street to the Bayou’ which is currently #7 on the RMR Top 50 Blues Charts Nationwide #12 on the Roots Music Charts and featured on XM/Sirius Bluesville!

Blues Boys Talent wishes to congratulate Ben Prestage on taking 2nd place in the International Blues Challenge!
Born the grandson of a Mississippi sharecropper, Ben Prestage has been soaked in Blues tradition and Mississippi culture since birth. Growing up in the swamps of south central Florida, Prestage began to mix Mississippi Country Blues with his own brand of Florida Swamp Blues. This muddy- water- meets- black- water stew has led him to perform from California to the Carolinas to the Florida Keys, in large festivals, every kind of bar, and sometimes on downtown sidewalks.
