The ‘Zoo is a hard rockin’ Zydeco locomotive and have been labeled “ridiculously danceable” by the Tallahassee Democrat. They have released two CDs of smokin’ ZydecoZoo originals. The band also covers Zydeco standards by Clifton Chenier, Beau Jocque, Buckwheat Zydeco, Keith Frank, C.J. Chenier, Boozoo Chavis, and many more.
Though the band is not from Louisiana, they are proud to have North Florida’s most respected and experienced musicians, Missippy James and Jiggs Walker. Add to that drummer Martin Guilbeau, who is a native of Grand Coteau, LA, and a veteran of Thomas “Big Hat” Fields’ band, and you’ll find the ‘Zoo is the most danceable band in Florida.
